Running for nearly 25 miles along the sparkling southern shore of Lake Michigan in Chesterton, Indiana, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore managed by the National Park Services, is one of the most famous natural attractions of Northwest Indiana. Not only does it have the famous sandy beaches but also more than 70 miles of hiking trails and more than 350 species of birds. This makes the beautiful destination more and more interesting for all kinds of visitors. It is undoubtedly an unspoiled place full of natural beauty; the perfect destination to get outside and make the most of the lingering warmth before chilly weather sets in.
Indiana Dunes is a paradise for anyone who loves being active outdoors. Yay, It’s In My Bucket List This Fall!
Well, as soon as I heard about Indiana Dunes, it immediately entered my bucket list for this fall and all for its right reasons. It is definitely a paradise for nature-lovers and shutter bugs like me. I will be relaxing on the beach as gentle waves come to shore ,stroll along the shore, play frisbee, go find the nice cuisines around, do biking, trailing and hiking. When I am tired I will sleep around in my camp on the beach or book one of the varieties of hotels available. Can’t expect and imagine more, can you ?? As an icing on the cake, this fall Nature Conservancy staff plan to bring around 20 bison to Kankakee Sands, and I am ever so curious as many to what the prairie will sound like when the bisons arrive.
