No matter the season, Virginia Beach always has something to offer, which will definitely make your visit worth. If you are in a budget travel and searching for the places, that will make you and your pocket happy, here are my best experiences in this beach city that spared my wallet:
- The Old Cape Henry Light House:
This is the original Cape Henry Light House, which is always open to public. You can mount up to the top and enjoy the panoramic view of Atlantic Ocean. Note: The light house is located inside the Fort Story Military base. You need to go through a quick security check before getting the passes to enter. A valid identification proof with picture is required for the admission!!
- The Giant Neptune statue:
The 34-foot statue of King Neptune, proudly standing at the gateway of Neptune Park, seems like guarding the beach, sea and its inmates all the time. With the beach in the background and the live music nearby, makes it a favorite of local residents and the visitors.
- The Town Center:
It’s the downtown of Virginia Beach, featuring shops, restaurants, bars, free summer performances creating a city-like feeling. It’s worth visiting the town center at night.
- Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum:
The museum features the pictures and information related to the wildfowling history of the Back Bay area. It also demonstrates the history of Virginia Beach. This is the best way you can learn things!!Entrance to the museum is free!!
- Oceanfront Festivals/Events:
There are countless festivals and cultural events celebrated throughout the year. These events are always open to public. The whole oceanfront dances with the open beats here, so you can join them and enjoy your moves. The diversity of the celebrations here, will surely delight you.
